OK....lol. Today is the 2 month anniversary of the death of my host mom's mom. So I have to get back and don't have much time to write. I feel bad. She's really sad today. We've talked some about it....she talks about her Mom a lot, but it's hard )=.
Anyhew....today is all good and happy and jolly haha. I got a package today, a postcard yesterday, and a postcard the day before yesterday. I feel so loved! haha
Tonight there is a futbal game entre Mexico and Honduras. Viva Mexico!
Ok...I wanted to check in. Much love to all!
Kaitlyn, this blog is great. It seemed easy (even for me) until I tried to type an nyea at the end of my comment and I lost everything! I am such a tonto. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your homestay and familia mexicana. After two weeks, I'm sure that you are starting to hear more words in rapid conversations. In a week or so, you'll be dreaming in Spanish!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recent update. I'll ask you more about your trip, school, and Oaxaca after I read your previous entries. Of course, I would like to be in Oaxaca, too. But I really prefer my stuffy classroom with 30+ students far more than sitting at a sidewalk cafe on the plaza, adjusted to the slower pace, sipping coffee and eating tamales, practicing my Spanish while listening to marimba music in the background.
Actually, Kaitlyn, I hope that you have found a hangout and plenty of time to do what I just described. And I'm really excited that you are there. Con carino, (no nyea) Sr. Hance
